- だてまさむね【伊達政宗】(1567-1636) 安土桃山・江戸初期の武将。 仙台藩祖。 輝宗の長男。 幼名， 梵天丸， 長じて藤次郎。 隻眼・果断の故をもって独眼竜と称される。 出羽米沢を根拠に勢力を拡大したが， 豊臣秀吉に帰服， 文禄の役に出兵した。 関ヶ原の戦いでは徳川方。 戦後， 仙台藩六二万石を領した。 家臣支倉常長をローマに派遣。 和歌・茶道に通じ， 桃山文化を仙台に移した。
